Something you can notice in your own reaction to the exercise.
Notice the frame before choosing a side
The Polarity Lens
A pair can help you notice what your mind foregrounds. It is not proof that reality is binary, that both sides are equally true, or that the wisest answer is always in the middle. Explore the poles, then zoom out.
What system contains both?
How to read the experience
Observation first. Interpretation labeled.
A philosophical, traditional, or editorial frame being offered for inspection.
A factual statement supported by a source. Evidence can remain asymmetric.
Choose a lens
Explore a tension without choosing a winner.
Personal rhythm
Action and rest
Notice whether your attention immediately treats action as progress or rest as relief. The pair is only a lens: both can serve or undermine the larger rhythm depending on context.

- 5Reflect
Encounter the pair.
Action
Notice what you assume about this side before opening it.
Rest
Notice what you assume about this side before opening it.
Accessible path
This experience is ordinary semantic HTML. Motion only reinforces state changes; the same sequence, content, prompts, and additional dimensions remain available with reduced motion or without WebGL.
Philosophical context
Yin-yang can inspire the question without proving the answer.
Wake Up Sooner uses yin-yang as a philosophical reference for relationship, interdependence, and change. It is not presented here as scientific evidence that every phenomenon, political disagreement, magnet, body, or truth claim must have exactly two spiritual poles.
The useful move is smaller: notice when a frame collapses a system into opposing sides, inspect what each side makes easier to see, and then ask what the frame may be leaving out.
Authoring principles are documented in docs/product/polarity-lens-authoring.md.
You do not need to accept the lens, resolve the tension, or reach a balanced conclusion. If the frame does not fit, reject it. That is part of the exercise.
